Omega Electorate
Coming soon For members of parliament, councillors and their electorate offices

Casework and constituents, kept private and in one place.

Omega Electorate gives your office a secure app for the member and staff, a free constituent portal for the people you help, and a clear record of every case. Every message and document is encrypted on the device that sends it.

  • Encrypted end to end
  • Free constituent portal
  • Keys stay on your devices
Two apps, one system

One app for the office. A simpler one for constituents.

Electorate staff and the people they help need different things, so Omega Electorate comes in two parts that talk to each other.

For the member and staff

Omega Electorate office app

The working space for the member, electorate officers and caseworkers.

  • Constituent conversations sorted by case
  • Team chats for casework, diary and correspondence
  • Letters, forms and agency replies in one place
  • Signed authorities to act on a constituent's behalf
  • An office identity in chat, so staff never give out personal numbers
For your constituents

Omega Electorate constituent portal

A private line to the representatives a constituent has asked for help.

  • Free for constituents
  • Connects only to offices they've accepted
  • Federal, state and local representatives in the one portal
  • Updates on each case as it moves
  • Sign an authority to act with one tap
Constituent portal

Constituents join by invitation from your office.

When someone contacts the office for help, you send them a code or a link. They install the portal, accept the invitation, and can message the casework team straight away. Nobody can search for your staff, so the only people who reach them through the app are constituents you've invited.

A resident who has raised one matter with their federal member and another with their local councillor keeps both offices side by side in the one portal, each case in its own thread.

What your constituent sees

  • The office name, their caseworker and your opening hours
  • Progress on each case, in plain language
  • Forms and authorities waiting for their signature
  • Nothing about any other constituent, ever
Casework

Consent before you contact an agency.

Government agencies usually need a constituent's written permission before they discuss a case with an electorate office. Omega Electorate collects it in the portal and keeps it with the case.

Open the case

Record the issue and the agency involved, such as Services Australia, Home Affairs or a state department.

Collect the authority

The constituent reads and signs the authority to act in their portal. It's kept with the time and date.

Keep them informed

Every update goes to the constituent's portal, so nobody has to ring the office to ask.

Your office

The member, the staff and the offices you work with.

Omega Electorate will replace the mix of personal phones, chat groups and email chains that sensitive casework often ends up in.

Privacy and the law

Built to keep casework apart from politics.

Constituents tell an electorate office things they would tell few others: money troubles, visa problems, family breakdowns, health. Some political acts of members of parliament are exempt from the Privacy Act 1988, yet constituents still expect their details to be handled with care. Omega Electorate is being designed to follow the Australian Privacy Principles as good practice and to support the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and your parliament's or council's own rules for constituent information.

Casework stays in the office app. There's no export to party or campaign lists and no way to message constituents in bulk.

We'll publish a plain-English privacy and security statement for offices before launch.

Discreet by design

  • Lock screen alerts show the sender's name and nothing else
  • Fingerprint or face unlock every time the app opens
  • Our servers hold no key that can read messages or files
  • Australian offices' account details kept in Australia
  • Remove a staff member's access the day they leave
Security

Encrypted on your device. Opened only on theirs.

The keys that open your conversations are made on your own devices and stay there. Our servers pass sealed messages along and hold no key that can read them.

Your device seals it

Each message and file gets its own key before it leaves your phone.

Omega Electorate relays it

Our servers store and deliver the sealed message without being able to open it.

Their device opens it

Only the devices it was addressed to can unwrap the key and read it.

Questions

What electorate offices ask us.

Does Omega Electorate replace our casework system?

No. Your case management system and records stay where they are. Omega Electorate handles the conversations with constituents and the documents that go with them.

What does it cost constituents?

Nothing. The constituent portal is free. A constituent who wants the full Omega messenger for their own use can upgrade inside the portal for a personal subscription.

Can we use it for campaigning?

No. Omega Electorate is for casework and services to constituents. It has no bulk messaging and no link to party or campaign databases.

What happens to open cases after an election?

The account belongs to the office. Open cases are handed over or closed with each constituent's agreement, and records are kept or archived under your parliament's or council's rules.

Can constituents message the member directly?

Constituents message the office. You choose who in the office sees each conversation, including the member.

Where is our data kept?

Messages and files are encrypted on the phone that sends them and our servers can't open them. Account details for Australian offices are held in Australia.
